DR. SCOTT BULLOCH, DDS, MS
Dual-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Scott Bulloch, a dual-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, has been a pillar of the Southern Utah community since 1994. Born in St. George and raised in Salt Lake City and Southern California, Dr. Bulloch has deep roots in the area. He resides here with his wife Stephanie and their children, depending on how many of them happen to be home at the time. An avid educator, he currently teaches a pre-dental class at Utah Tech University, sharing his passion for oral health with the next generation.

Dr. Bulloch and his family are enthusiasts of the great outdoors, enjoying activities like hiking, camping, climbing, and especially boating at Lake Powell, which they cherish as a time for family bonding and relaxation.

RESEARCH

Dr. Bulloch is dedicated to advancing oral surgery through active research, particularly in pain management and dental implant safety. His contributions include primary investigations and several publications on the efficacy and safety of various analgesics. Moreover, he holds multiple patents and has pioneered techniques that enhance the safety, reliability, and precision of dental implant placements, offering better outcomes for complex cases.

EDUCATION

  • 1981-1985: University of Utah

  • 1985-1989: Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery

  • 1989-1990: Completed an anesthesia residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania

  • 1990-1994: Earned a Master’s Degree and completed residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, a prestigious and accredited program

  • Merle L. Hale Research Award: Recognized for research on capillary blood flow in the maxilla during hypotensive anesthesia.

  • He is also an active staff member at Dixie Regional Medical Center.
